SharePoint Solution Consultant

Northridge is seeking a SharePoint Solution Consultant with 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect in the analysis, design, hands-on development and delivery of web-based applications. In addition, a SharePoint Solution Consultant will have 2+ years experience implementing SharePoint Technologies as both a developer and an architect. An in-depth understanding of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, Office SharePoint Server 2007, InfoPath, Forms Services, Excel Services, Search, Business Data Catalog and Web Services in a variety of business environments is required. Hands-on experience developing highly customized solutions on the SharePoint platform (custom web parts, branding, content management) is required.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design high-level software architecture including Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
  • Design relational database models to support database-driven software systems
  • Interface with customer project sponsors to articulate technical aspects of project delivery
  • Work closely with sales team members as a technical subject matter expert
  • Work directly with business development teams during project envisioning (e.g., proposal generation, statements of work, RFP/RFQ creation and delivery) to come up with the best solution for given requirements, with the ability to provide reasonably accurate estimates for projects.
  • Distinguish between when SharePoint is appropriate solution for customer and when another approach is merited
  • Lead complete software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, configuring, programming and unit testing for information worker applications based on Microsoft technologies.
  • Adherence to Software Engineering best practices and company delivery methodology
  • Travel as needed

Qualifications Include:

  • Must possess an in depth understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
  • Knowledge must include architectural design, web parts development, management and troubleshooting with a focus on planning, deploying and supporting enterprise SharePoint implementations.
  • In depth experience with Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and/or Business Intelligence.
  • SharePoint experience must include custom workflows, navigation customization, and some branding customization.
  • Web development experience (HTML, CSS, XSL, XSLT, JavaScript, JQuery) is required.
  • Experience with SharePoint templates (site templates, list templates, master page customization) is required.
  • Experience configuring and working with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) and SQL Server 2005/2008 is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
  • Experienced in problem solving, and able to follow a methodical implementation process.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate with clients at all levels.
