Senior SharePoint Engineer

A senior SharePoint engineer at Northridge is an individual that has at least 6 years of full life cycle software engineering experience on the Microsoft platform, including 3 years specifically involved with Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies (MOSS and/or WSS). Senior SharePoint engineers deliver the bulk of the configuration and programming tasks within a SharePoint implementation project team. These individuals must be at an expert level with MOSS, WSS, Visual Studio.NET, Microsoft.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2005, and web development.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with SharePoint architects and software architects to finalize software architecture and object oriented design
  • Design and develop web part customizations using the C# language and the Microsoft.NET Framework
  • Setup and configuration of SharePoint Web Content Management
  • Creation of SharePoint Master Page and Page Layouts
  • Implement SharePoint Enterprise Search
  • Creation of SharePoint Workflows
  • Adherence to SharePoint and Software Engineering best practices and company delivery methodology
  • Interface with junior programmers and assist in their training and development
  • Travel as needed

Qualifications Include:

  • 6 years of Microsoft-based software engineering experience
  • 3 years of MOSS and/or WSS development and implementation experience
  • 3 years of Microsoft.NET-based software engineering experience
  • Expert level with MOSS, WSS, Microsoft.NET, SQL Server 2005, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, and Windows Server 2003
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) MOSS 2007 - Application Development certification (preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) MOSS 2007 - Configuration certification (preferred)
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science (preferred)
  • Strong overall communication skills
