Northridge Delivers Email Service Activation Solution to Atlanta’s Own Cbeyond

Atlanta, GA -- Northridge, the Premier Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in the Southeast focused on Business Intelligence (PerformancePoint), Corporate Portals (SharePoint), Custom Development (.NET), and IT Infrastructure, is pleased to announce the successful development and deployment of a Microsoft Outlook email client configuration application for Cbeyond. Cbeyond, which is headquartered in Atlanta and has offices in 12 US markets, is a leading voice and broadband Internet provider focused exclusively on small businesses. 

Cbeyond provides its customers with an array value-added services and solutions that enhance its core voice and data products. A recent addition to Cbeyond’s value-added solution offering is a hosted Microsoft Exchange service which customers can access via a Microsoft email client, such as Outlook. Cbeyond partnered with Northridge to design and develop an installation and configuration solution that could be distributed to Cbeyond customers to simplify the Outlook configuration process. Upon gathering detailed requirements from Cbeyond team, Northridge developed the custom Microsoft .NET solution leveraging web services to enable the installation and configuration in a single pass without requiring Cbeyond’s customers to contact Cbeyond technical support. The solution allows Cbeyond to seamlessly deploy its hosted Exchange offering to customers in each of its markets.

Upon completion of the core solution development, the Northridge Quality Assurance team fully tested the solution by leveraging its virtualized testing environment in which various operating system configurations can be tested in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The QA process ensured that the solution was fully functional on all supported operating systems and versions of Outlook including Microsoft Outlook 2003, Microsoft Outlook 2007, Microsoft Outlook Express, and Windows Live Mail. Northridge Interactive, the interactive marketing and design division of Northridge, delivered the user interface design for the custom solution consistent with Cbeyond’s existing branding standards and guidelines.
